Job Description

Senior Avaya Field & Site Engineer Berkshire/Thames Valley/some European travel. This well established and highly regarded telecommunications/converged systems and solutions firm is seeking an experienced and versatile (Tier 3 level) Avaya-focused telecoms field engineer for their expanding team. This particular role will see you covering the Southeast but with a particular focus on key clients in the Thames Valley to London area. The role combines field support work but will include on-site support as well. You will have the option of being based from home or from their office in London.

You will be providing engineering support, with specific responsibility for fault escalation and management to resolution, configuration, network management and technical consultancy. This role encompasses all aspects of maintenance and installation work. The main focus will be on Avaya products however candidates should expect to be involved in Nortel product work (installations, MACs or faults) during when not covering Avaya.

Candidates must have a good track record in the installation, commissioning and 3rd line support of Avaya products: ACM Avaya Communications Manager; the Avaya Aura suite (eg Aura Communication Manager, Aura Session Manager, etc); and MM (Media Modules); plus AudioCodes products (gateways/Mediants, etc).

Any Nortel experience (CS1000 and Meridian; NCSS accreditation always good) useful, but the main focus will be Avaya.
