SUBSTANCE MISUSE NURSE - BAND 6BuckinghamshireSalary circa £30000WE ARE PLEASED TO INVITE CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE; ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT A SUBSTANCE MISUSE NURSE.Background: The successful candidate will be joining a secondary treatment service targeting service users with complex drug related needs. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Substance Misuse Nurse to join the centre with a fantastic team atmosphere and contribute to the excellent patient care which the centre provides.Role:You will manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, manage junior staff and have a liaison role with other drug / alcohol associated services. You will be promoting the interests and needs of service users within the secure setting.You must have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.Successful candidates:The ideal candidate will be able to:•Manage a caseload and function as a key worker for service users with complex drug / alcohol and healthcare needs.•Consult with service users in order to develop flexible and realistic care packages.•Ensure that care packages are evaluated at agreed intervals, with a focus on service users input and participation.•Assess and care manage service users requiring maintenance or detoxification programmes.Essential role Requirements:•Registered Nurse•Minimum of 2 years post qualification clinical employment within a Mental Health Trust.•Community based experience.•Working with people who have drug/alcohol problems in any clinical settingPackage:•Circa £30000•Rewarding environment•Continuing training and development opportunitiesLocation: Buckinghamshire For more information regarding this role please do not hesitate to contact Independent Clinical Services for an informal conversation.Independent Clinical Services is working the capacity of a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
